D-Air® system: D-Air® is a stand-alone electronic airbag system for use on the road that only works when integrated and connected to a specially designed and certified Dainese protective garment. The system's 6 sensors, electronics and GPS are integrated into the Pro-Armor back protector, so you don't need to install a kit on your motorbike. The D-Air® control unit monitors the sensor signals 1000 times per second with a sophisticated triggering algorithm. The D-Air® system works in synergy with existing protection devices to protect the following parts of the rider's body:

The airbag is inflated at high pressure by gas generators, is anatomically shaped and has a volume of 4 litres. D-Air® recognises and activates its revolutionary additional protection in the event of the following accidents:

• Frontal and lateral collisions: Impact with fixed or moving objects.
• Highsider: The rider is "catapulted" off the motorbike after the rear wheel starts to slip and suddenly regains grip.
• Lowsider with rollover: The front or rear wheel slips and the rider rolls off.

Thanks to the intelligent algorithm, D-Air® recognises the intensity of a fall and only deploys if necessary in the event of one of the aforementioned accidents. The system does not deploy, for example, in the event of a fall at less than 50 km/h or in the event of a fall where the dynamics do not require the additional protection of the airbag.

Replacing the airbag after release: This work may only be carried out by an authorised dealer (D-Air Premium Center). We (Stiebinger Motorradbekleidung) are authorised to do this. In more serious cases, the airbag must be sent directly to Dainese.

Registration and unlocking: D-Air products produced since 2019 must be registered and unlocked. We are happy to take care of this for you so that you only have to switch off the transport mode when you receive your D-Air garment (by briefly charging it or in the D-Air app) and can start using it straight away. Therefore, please make sure that the data is correct, or if the product is intended for another person, this must be submitted later or noted in the comment field in the order. If you want to register and unlock the product yourself, please indicate this in the comments field of the order.
