Polyamid
Polyamide fibres are particularly tear and abrasion resistant, as well as extremely elastic and stretchy. Polyamide also absorbs little moisture, is therefore particularly quick-drying and very tear-resistant and durable both wet and dry. These properties, especially the minimal water absorption, give polyamides their very high dimensional stability. The polyamide fabric releases the water directly back into the surrounding air. The lightweight fabric (lighter than silk) is considered mothproof, but does not tolerate high temperatures very well.
